About Us

Both my daughters have experienced the Tots Together program. I can't say enough good things about it. The program provides a nurturing, welcoming and positive experience for children and is a place where both my girls were excited to go to every day. It provided the perfect introduction to school for both my girls.

​The Tots Together Program is a unique Day Nursery program for children aged 21 months to 3 and a half years in the Forest Hill Neighbourhood.
Our outstanding reputation is built on our love for children, solid professional staff, and outstanding educational programming.​
 
We believe that:

 

  • Children are unique and special individuals who need to explore, create, discover, problem-solve and feel good about themselves. All children of different abilities can share and learn together.

  • Every child needs to be loved for who he/she is.

  • Children innately love to learn and have fun. “PLAY” is the optimum medium for children to learn.

  • Children who are exposed to Jewish experiences that are meaningful, enjoyable and personal at a young age, will feel part of the Jewish people and will value that connection through love.

  • A co-operative effort between teachers and parents is encouraged to optimally benefit each child’s learning experience.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

Our objectives are to:

 

  • To recognize and celebrate the individual learning styles, needs and unique background of every child.

  • To help each child actualize his/her potential in all areas of development through activity and play (i.e. cognitive, gross and fine motor, social-emotional, self help, language, etc.).

  • To expose children to the beauty and relevance of Judaism and the joy of the holidays in a stimulating, creative and warm atmosphere.

  • To assist every child in their educational path so as to have as smooth a transition as possible into school.

  • To create a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere for parents so that together we can nurture and facilitate learning and developmental growth.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

 

Our Facility:

 

The Village Shul offers three bright and well equipped pre-school rooms. Our facility is government approved and regularly undergoes separate inspections for health, fire, safety and government regulations.  Our facility is maintained in top condition.

Completed in 1999, The Village Shul is a beautiful facility echoing images of Israel and Jerusalem with its stone tiling and arching window motif.
